Snowmobile Capital of The World!

 

Yellowstone Country has the nation's most extensive snowmobile trail system.  Take a few days and see the geysers and hotpots of Yellowstone National Park.  Make the rounds of the most popular snowmobile cities in the nation.  West Yellowstone, Livingston, Big Timber, Cooke City, Bozeman, Big Sky, Gardiner.

West Yellowstone, billed as the Snowmobile Capital of the World" lives up to its name.  Trails begin in town where cars and sleds share city streets.  Choose from 200 miles of groomed trails inside the Park and more than 400 miles outside.  Season runs Thanksgiving through April.  
The World Snowmobile Expo, held annually in March, serves up the world's most exciting racing action and all that's new in the world of snowmobiling.
Popular trails outside Yellowstone are: Lionhead, South Plateau, and the Two Top National Recreation Snowmobile Trail, from which you can view three states and the Grand Tetons.
Yellowstone Park Season runs mid-December through mid-March. Dates vary with snow conditions.
Trails Yellowstone National Park roads, with the exception of Mammoth to Cooke City and Canyon Junction to Tower Junction, are open to snowmobiles.  Persons operating a snowmobile in Yellowstone National Park must possess a driver's license or state issued learners permit.  
Snowmobile sales, service, and rentals as well as lodging and food are available in West Yellowstone.  Lodging,, food and fuel are also available at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge, and Mammoth Hot Springs.  Fuel is available at Canyon.  Light snacks and warming huts are found throughout the park.
