Talk About Fish Stories!!The best fly fishing runs from late June through October, though conditions are often good in March and April before spring run-off. With up to 3,000 fish per mile in the several Yellowstone Country streams, regulations generally allow liberal catch limits. But, on some streams, regulations protect certain species. Wade in a stream. Walk along the stream bank. Float-fish if the water will carry a boat. Consult local fly shops for specific tackle recommendations. In Montana, the weather can change in an instant. So...be prepared.
Don't forget to obtain permission before you enter or cross private land.
